Weeknotes from 19 September 2026

Last week made me realize how quickly we have grown up. This year, I moved to BLR leaving all of my closest friends. Some of them too moved out, some even outside of India, and generally everyone has gotten busier with life. One of my friends recently moved here, Welcome bhargavmule.com to BLR. He is an insanely cracked programmer, graduated from Super 30, do check his work out. Back in university, when he was interning at a startup, the first person I interviewed with.

Part of me wants to give twitter credit for keeping me in touch with all the smart people in BLR, but I also understand how bad twitter is for my mental health. Apparently, I also went viral on twitter, albeit anonymously because people reposted my post without attribution (even on Linkedin and YouTube). I was fully expecting this and it was a stupid joke anyways.

I've uninstalled VSCode (and all text editors) from my computer as a part of an experiment to get better at using agents for engineering. The idea isn't to tokenmaxx, but to learn to delegate.

On weekends, I've also been trying to give attention to the projects I had long abandoned, dcim being one of them. I was supposed to demo it today at IWCB but I failed to make it on time. So now its an excuse to spend more effort polishing it before I demo. I also made a VSCode extension to help me do better code reviews: vsvibe

IndiaFOSS 2026 is next week, I'm super excited, I'll be representing our company and meeting more smart people. See you guys there.
